After each wear and periodically.
- Dry horsehair brush, then microfibre — removes dust, evens the surface.
- The "dry/matte" look is part of the finish — start with nothing but a brush.
Products and tools
What not to do
- These are not Martens. No Wonder Balsam, Saphir Renovateur, Tarrago Shoe Cream, polish or greasy dubbin.
- When they look "dry" — do nothing first. Just brush.
When dirty
Only when dirt won't brush off.
- A little gentle cleaner on microfibre/brush, not straight onto the shoe. Test at the heel/tongue.
- Clean a whole panel evenly, not one spot. Lift excess with a barely-damp microfibre.
- Dry naturally 12–24 h. When wet — paper inside.
- Brush once dry.
What not to do
- No heavy protector (Coccine Nano/Collonil Carbon Pro) unless you accept the risk of darkening and a changed texture.
