Notes
A Mango (MNG Man line) shirt in 100% linen, with a band / grandad ("Mao") collar (a low stand, no points) and a half-placket POPOVER front — the buttons open only partway down the chest, with the front closed below, so it pulls over the head (not a full button-front shirt). Long sleeves, no chest pocket. A light, breathable linen base for warm and mild days in the smart-casual register — a touch more relaxed and resort-leaning; worn solo or cleanly under a jacket or knit. Linen creases naturally.
Care regimens
Linen and linen-rich blends
every ~10 daysCool, gentle washing and drying with no high heat, refreshed with steam rather than over-washed. Natural creasing is linen's character, not a flaw — linen softens and looks better with every gentle wash.
After each wear: hang so the creases relax and air it out; a little rumple is linen's natural character
Everyday
After wear and periodically, between washes.
- Air and hang to relax the creases — linen recovers its shape on a hanger.
- A steamer or a light press resets the look without another wash.
- Lift any lint and fluff off the surface.
Products and tools
What not to do
- Don't wash too often — steaming to refresh is enough. Linen softens and looks better with gentle washing over time.
When dirty
When visibly dirty or sweated through.
- Pre-treat stains with a stain remover first, gently, without scrubbing.
- Machine wash cool, up to 30 °C, on a gentle/delicate cycle with a colour- and dark-protecting detergent.
- Reshape the piece while it is still damp and straighten the seams before it dries.
- Line dry or dry flat, away from the radiator; avoid the hot tumble dryer.
- Iron the linen damp on the linen setting, or refresh it with steam.
What not to do
- Stick to a cool wash and low drying heat — heat shrinks linen and creases it harder.
- Linen/viscose blends are weaker when wet — handle gently, support the weight and don't wring.
