    Notes

A black Zara half-zip sweatshirt with a quarter-zip stand collar and a soft brushed-fleece back — a versatile neutral casual layer in deep black, logo-free. Polyester-cotton (58/42), men's cut, size M. Worn over a tee and under a jacket or coat.

    Care regimens

    Synthetics, viscose and technical blends

    every ~14 days

A cool, gentle wash with a colour-protecting detergent, little or no drying heat, and pilling shaved off. Synthetics hold odour and dislike heat; viscose weakens when wet — dry flat.

After each wear: air them out, air-dry without high heat, lay viscose flat

    Everyday

    After each wear and periodically.

    1. Air after wearing — synthetics hold smell, and airing often does the job instead of a wash.
    2. Shave pilling off acrylic and polyester knits with a fabric shaver.
    3. Refresh lightly with steam — keep the steamer moving and not too hot.

    What not to do

    • Steam only warm and moving — too hot glazes the fibre to a shine and sets odour in.

    When dirty

When visibly dirty or holding odour.

    1. Turn inside out; pre-treat stains with a stain remover.
    2. Put fine viscose knits and delicates in a mesh wash bag.
    3. Wash cool (≤30 °C), on a gentle cycle, with a colour-protecting detergent.
    4. Dry on low or no heat — hang or lay flat, away from the radiator.

    What not to do

    • Viscose (viscose/rayon) weakens when wet and can shrink — handle gently, don't wring, reshape and dry flat.
    • No high drying heat — synthetics glaze to a shine or melt, and high heat sets odours in.

    Restore

    only when needed

When the surface has pilled or the fabric goes static.

    1. Shave the pilling off with a fabric shaver — it revives the knit's surface.
    2. For static, air-dry and don't over-dry; add an anti-static step if needed.

    What not to do

    • Static is a sign of over-drying — hot machine drying makes it worse, so air-dry instead.
